Generally, the duties of the Zoning Board of Appeals include:

• To hear and decide appeals from and review any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by an administrative official charged with the enforcement of the zoning ordinance;
• Conduct the public hearing upon requests for a variation from the zoning ordinance;
• Recommend whether to grant a variation from the zoning ordinance; and
• To hear and recommend all matters referred to it or upon which it is required to pass under the zoning ordinance.
