About the Mayor
A graduate of Williamsville High School, Trevor earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield majoring in Political Studies with a minor in Labor Relations.  Trevor is currently employed by the Illinois General Assembly, serving as the Deputy Director of the bi-partisan Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability (11 years).  Trevor was previously employed as a Budget Analyst for the Illinois Senate Appropriations Staff.  Trevor served eight years in the Illinois Air National Guard, 182nd Airlift Wing, Peoria, Illinois. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant, serving as an Air Transportation Specialist and Rigger.   

Trevor has always been attracted to the call of public service.  He takes a great pride in giving back to the community through public service.  Trevor served for a period of five years as a volunteer firefighter.  In a somewhat more known endeavor, Trevor currently serves as mayor of the Village of Sherman.  Trevor is serving in his second term as mayor.  The Village of Sherman is the fasting growing community in Sangamon County.  Prior to being elected mayor, Trevor served a four year term as a trustee on the Sherman Village Board. 

Trevor is married to Michelle Putman Clatfelter and in their spare time are raising a son.
